Gerber File Reconstruction from an Old Industrial PCB
Rebuild fabrication data from a legacy board so a new lot can be manufactured for maintenance.

Gerber file reconstruction recovers the fabrication view of a board: copper layers, solder mask notes, silkscreen where it still exists, and drill data. We start from the sample, not from a guess about the original CAM job.
The package is for maintaining equipment you own or are authorized to support. We document measurement limits so your fabricator can review them before a lot is released.
Where this service fits
- The fabricator archive was never delivered to the equipment owner.
- A spare lot is required and only a populated or bare sample remains.
- Internal layers must be read before anyone can build a replacement lot.
- A redesign will reuse the outline and connectors but needs clean CAM data first.
What you receive
- Layer artwork exported as Gerber
- Drill file and a drill chart
- Outline, stack-up notes, and finish observations
- A fabrication checklist of items the sample could not prove
How the work proceeds
- Inspect the sample and agree which layers are in scope.
- Capture copper, drill, and profile.
- Export Gerber and drill data with a readme.
- Review the package against the sample with your engineer.
Questions on this service
Can you recover internal layers?
Yes when the sample can be deprocessed for that purpose. We agree that step before any destructive work.
Will a fabricator accept the files?
We provide standard Gerber and drill outputs plus the limits we measured. The fabricator still runs their own CAM check.
Request a project review
Send the board context, layer count, and the maintenance goal. Quotes are prepared after that review.
